Privacy & Terms
How Novamed collects and handles your data, and the terms under which you use our website and counselling services.

Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Novamed is a doctor-led medical college counselling service based in Bangalore, India, operated under the Novamed brand. In this policy, “Novamed”, “we”, “our” and “us” refer to that service. “You” refers to a visitor or registered student.
Our website is www.novamed.courses. For privacy questions, write to novamedservice@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
We only collect what we need to counsel you:
- From the enquiry form: your name, email, phone, the courses you are interested in, your state, and your NEET status.
- From Google sign-in: your Google account email, name, and profile picture URL — supplied by Google with your consent.
- From the post-signup onboarding step: your Indian mobile number.
- Technical data: a session cookie issued by our authentication provider, a small non-secret marker cookie used to remember that you are signed in, and standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp).
We do not collect government IDs, NEET scorecards, payment details, or sensitive personal data through the website. If a counsellor needs documents during your admission journey, those are exchanged outside the website (over WhatsApp, email, or in person).
3. Why we collect it
- To contact you about medical college counselling.
- To match you with colleges and courses based on your stated preferences.
- To create and secure your account on our website (sign-in, session management).
- To diagnose technical issues and protect against abuse.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling unrelated to counselling, or training AI models. We do not sell your data.
4. Who we share it with
Your data stays with Novamed and the small set of service providers we use to run the website:
- Supabase— database, authentication, and storage. Data is hosted on Supabase’s infrastructure.
- Vercel — website hosting and edge delivery.
- Google— only if you choose “Sign in with Google”. Google sees nothing other than the standard sign-in flow.
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or colleges without your explicit say-so during counselling.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry records and registered profiles are retained while your relationship with Novamed is active and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 24 months) so we can answer follow-up questions about your admissions cycle. You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see the next section.
6. Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- Show you the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your account and personal data (we will keep only what is required for legal or fraud-prevention reasons, if any).
- Stop contacting you.
Email novamedservice@gmail.com from the address on file. We respond within 14 working days.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in and to remember sign-in state across pages. We do not run analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party trackers. The cookies we set are:
- Supabase auth cookies — issued by our authentication provider, expire when your session ends or you sign out.
- nm_auth — a non-secret marker so the homepage can show your sign-in state without a database round-trip. Cleared on sign-out.
8. Children
Many medical aspirants are under 18 when they begin counselling. If you are a minor, please use the website only with the awareness and consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a minor has registered without that consent, contact us and we will remove the account.
9. Security
The website uses HTTPS end-to-end. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with industry-standard hashing and session management. Administrative access is restricted to a single account protected by a password and (where enabled) two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities promptly.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service grows. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes when we do. For material changes affecting how we use your data, we will email registered users.
Terms of Service
1. What Novamed offers
Novamed provides information about medical colleges and courses, and offers free human counselling to help you choose and apply to the right institution. Counselling sessions happen offline — over phone, WhatsApp, video, or in person — and the website is the entry point to that conversation.
The website does not process applications, accept fees on behalf of any college, or guarantee admission. Final admission decisions are made by the colleges and the relevant counselling authorities (NEET, MCC, state quotas, etc.).
2. Counselling fees
Novamed’s counselling itself is free of cost until the point of admission. Any tuition, hostel, exam, or processing fee charged by a college, university, or government body is outside Novamed’s pricing — those are paid directly to the institution.
3. Eligibility and accuracy
By using the website you confirm that the information you provide is correct to the best of your knowledge and that you are entitled to share it (for example, you are the owner of the email and phone you submit). If you are a minor, you use the service with parent or guardian awareness.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information.
- Use the website to harass, defraud, or solicit other users.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you do not own — including the admin panel.
- Scrape the site, copy course content for republication, or otherwise misuse the platform.
We may suspend or delete an account at any time if we believe it has been used in breach of these terms.
5. Course content
Course descriptions, durations, and college lists on the website are provided for general guidance. They reflect the best information we have at the time of publishing and may change without notice as colleges revise their programmes, regulators publish new norms, or fee structures change. Always confirm the latest details with the college and your Novamed counsellor before acting on them.
6. No professional or guarantee disclaimer
Novamed’s counsellors are doctors and education advisors, not licensed legal or financial professionals. Information shared by us is opinion-based guidance — it is not legal advice, financial advice, or a guarantee of admission, fee structure, scholarship, loan approval, or career outcome.
7. Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites (college portals, government counselling sites, document examples). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Novamed and its founders, employees, counsellors, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the website or our counselling — including missed deadlines, denied admissions, lost opportunities, or fee disputes with colleges. Our total liability for any direct loss is limited to the counselling fees you have paid us in the previous 12 months, which by default is zero.
9. Intellectual property
The Novamed brand, logo, design, and text content are owned by Novamed. You may share links to public pages freely. Copying or republishing the content as your own — for a competing service or otherwise — is not permitted without written consent.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes when we do. Continued use of the website after changes are posted counts as acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Contact
